Local Church Requests to Connect to County Sewer Line

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Saint Mary’s Catholic Church of Nashport is asking for permission to connect to the Muskingum County Sewer Department line.

Manager of the Muskingum County Sewer Department, Kenny Beisser, met with the Muskingum County Commissioners today to inform them that it will be okay for the church to tie onto the sewer line. However, they need to determine whether it would be a county line or service lateral.

“If it’s a countly line, then the county will maintain it…if it stays a service latteral the church would be responsible for it” said Kenny Beisser, Sewer Manager, Muskingum County Sewer Department.

Beisser said the county commissioners will meet with Saint Mary’s Catholic Church next to determine which line the church will have as well as the cost.
