Local Golf Tournament To Benefit Veterans

The Veterans Appreciation Foundation is holding a golf tournament June ninth to support the veterans.
The tournament will be held at Green Valley Golf Club, an executive golf course here in Zanesville. While the playing spots are nearly completely filled up, you can still help out by sponsoring a hole. PGA Head Golf Professional at Green Valley, Steve Galloway said it is a great way to help out the veterans of Muskingum County.
“It’s a day of fellowship out here. This place will be red, white and blue everything and we will have flags on all the pins and of course they won’t touch the ground. The veterans will be out here. There will be plenty of food, plenty to drink and it’s just a great day of fellowship for them and it’s exciting to be out here watching them do that.
There are three different levels to choose from when it comes to sponsoring the golf tournament. Being a sponsor is really a win win because you get exposure for your company, and you get to help out the veterans in the community.
“The veterans of Muskingum County, that’s what we’re here for and to support them and all of the freedoms that they give us. That is why we do this.”
If you are interested in sponsoring this event, Galloway said contact a board member of Veterans Appreciation Foundation or get in touch with one of the three major sponsors, including Green Valley Golf Club, Fink’s Harley Davidson or Terry’s Tavern.
