Honoring First Responders

ZANESVILLE, Ohio-The Ohio College Guides will host a recognition lunch for first responders and their families.

The AmeriCoprs College Guides, the Muskingum County Community Foundation, and Scholarship Central will host the 5th annual September 11th First Responder Recognition Lunch Sunday.

“We just put together all the community donations we can,” Ben Raines said. “And really recognize the commitment the first responders, the EMS staff, the police department, the fire department, really recognize the commitment they have for our community’s safety. ”

Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Muskingum Family YMCA Park Central Campus.

“I don’t think we can possibly recognize them enough. They put their lives on the line for us every day. I really think it’s important that they know that we’re appreciative of the work that they do every day,” Raines said.

The Muskingum Family YMCA Park Central campus is located 1861 Admas Lane in Zanesville.
