A look at the unofficial football playoff rankings

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – When it comes to looking at who is in and who is out of the OHSAA football playoffs, joeeitel.com isn’t the official source for the computer rankings, but it’s an awfully good tool to use.
With one week left in the regular season a lot of fans will anxiously await the official computer rankings that will be released by the OHSAA on Tuesday. We’ve complied a list of the teams who are still fighting for the playoffs. The following list shows where each area team still in the playoff races ranks in their region, their record, if they control their own destiny, and their one reaming opponent on the season.
The top eight teams in each region at the end of the season will make the post season.
D3 Region 11
-5th Tri-Valley, 8-1 – Controls own destiny (Maysville)
-7th Granville, 7-2 – Does not control own destiny (Watkins Memorial)
-14th Maysville, 6-2 – Does not control own destiny (Tri-Valley)
D4 Region 15
-2nd Licking Valley, 9-0 – Clinched home playoff game (Licking Heights)
-5th John Glenn, 7-2 – Clinched playoff spot (Crooksville)
-7th Meadowbrook, 7-2 – Does not control own destiny (Cambridge)
-8th Philo, 6-3 – Does not control own destiny (New Lexington)
D6 Region 23
-8th Shenandoah, 7-2 – Does not control own destiny (Caldwell)
D7 Region 27
-7th Bishop Rosecrans, 7-2 – Does not control own destiny (Fisher Catholic)
-8th Miller, 6-3 – Does not control own destiny (Buffalo)
