Man sentenced to 51 years in prison after three-day crime spree

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – A man has been sentenced to 51 years in prison after committing numerous felonies over a three day period.

According to Assistant Prosecuting Attorney John Litle III, 34-year-old Nicholas Hale of Columbus was convicted on two counts of aggravated burglary, six counts of kidnapping, four counts of felonious assault, one count of aggravated robbery, discharging a firearm into a habitation, and having a weapon under disability. His crime spree spread from Oct. 27-29, 2015. Thursday, a Muskingum County jury found him guilty all charges.

Assistant Prosecuting Attorney John Litle III called his actions “A three day drug-debt motivated crime spree.” Judge Mark Fleegle sentenced him Friday morning to 51 years in prison, with 21 years being mandatory.
