ZANESVILLE, Ohio — It was a close game throughout, but the Maysville Panthers topped the Licking Valley Panthers by a final of 56-49 on Friday night.

Both teams got off to a bit of a rough start in the first eight minutes, but immediately Carson Conley set the tone for the visiting Panthers. Conley scored six points in each of the first two quarters, leading all scorers with 12 points at halftime.

However, Conley’s team trailed 11-8 after the first quarter, and 29-22 at the conclusion of the first 16-minutes.

It was a different story for Maysville, who in the first half, were lead by Carson Jarrett who scored just four first-half points. Dallas Rowland, Ross Randolph, Connor Sidwell, and Shiloh Ridenour all had three-points each.

The second half was much of the same as the hometown Panthers edged the visiting Panthers to improve to a perfect 5-0 on their home floor.

Masyville is back in action tomorrow when they take on Linsley (WV) at Marietta College. Licking Valley is off until January 3rd when they host Granville.
