Maysville’s Bennet signs to play softball for Ashland

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Maysville High School’s Hallie Bennett signed her letter Thursday afternoon to play softball at the next level.
Bennett will be taking her talents to the softball diamond at DII Ashland University as an outfielder. The Panther senior said she had also considered Ohio Dominican and Ursuline, but being an Eagle was the right fit for her.
“I was always told that I should feel at home wherever I go. And as soon as I stepped foot on Ashland’s campus I felt like that was where I was supposed to be,” said Bennett.
The dual sport athlete (softball and basketball) has certainly left her mark at Maysville. On last year’s softball team she batted .415, scored 30 runs, and was named second team all-MVL
“Our community always supports each other no matter what. I would of never thought that I had this many people willing to come support me. But I’m thankful that I did,” said Bennett.
Bennett thanked her parents, coaches, and teammates for all they’ve helped her accomplish.
