Muskingum Hunger Network Announces Donations: New Partnership

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- The Muskingum County Hunger Network received a series of donations totaling over seven thousand dollars this afternoon.

Assistant fire Chief Doug Hobson announced the donations but reiterated that the fight against hunger is ongoing. 

“We’re happy to say today we are able to turn over another $7,200 to the hunger network. But it’s not over, the pandemic is still here, or we wouldn’t be wearing these lovely things. We’re here all day today, eight to six… AJ Patel, his four companies, he stopped by today and donated a thousand dollars. East Coast Welding stopped by and dropped off five hundred dollars. This has been, it’s been so overwhelming.”, Hobson said Friday afternoon.

Hobson also announced a new partnership with the US post office. 

“Very excited to announce that we’ve just joined up with the United States post office for next Friday, so there’s gonna be fliers. Watch the Facebook, watch the news of course, next Friday the postal carriers are asking that you leave a monetary donation made out either to the MCCF or the Muskingum County Community foundation.”

Monetary donations as well as donations of non perishable foods can be made Fridays at Secrest Auditorium.
