MCCF Receives Anonymous Donation

ZANESVILLE, Ohio-The Muskingum County Community Foundation received an anonymous donation of $15,000 dollars towards their Spring Grant competition.
The MCCF was able to match the donation to get a total of $75,000 for the grants. Application for the grants can be done on the MCCF website.
“The application process is handed off to our distribution committee, and it is made up of members of the board and also of the community. They spend countless hours reviewing and scoring the applications, then we get together as a group and sort of finalize the decision to send to our board, to make the final approval. We have outside individuals who are from the community that come in.”, CEO Brian Wagner said of the process.
Past grants programs have been around $30,000 spread around community funds for activities in Roseville, Dresden, New Concord and Gratiot areas.
“We’ve been blessed to see growth over the last three years with our Spring Grant Competition. Over five or six years ago we were only able to do about $30,000, to be able to do more than twice that now is absolutely wonderful. We know in this time, as we continue to struggle with the COVID situation going around, even as things get better and we get a little bit back to normal, it’s gonna be great to continue to support these nonprofits and community projects.”, Wagner continued.
Applications for the grants must be in by noon on Thursday, March 25th.
