Meet Rudy: The calm and gentle hound-mix

Rudy Dog

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The Muskingum County Dog Warden and Adoption Center has a gentle and loving hound mix they’d like to introduce you to this week.

Rudy is described as an older dog who is playful and cuddly. A volunteer, Doug McQuaid, says Rudy loves to play in water and is a great dog to go on a walk with.

“He loves to just be — basically cuddled, played with, gentle, he’s very gentle in that fashion. He — he don’t seem to jump or anything like that. You could hug on him.”

Rudy is expected to be neutered on Thursday. After that, he’ll be ready for a new home. Deputy Dog Warden Alisha Myers says he would fit in perfectly with any family.

“His adoption fee is $105. You can come in and if you have other dogs come in and bring those with you — see if he will be okay with him. If you have cats, ask us if he is cat tested. He is not cat tested as of yet but can be.”
