Meet Smokey, The Pet of the Week

Each Friday we stop by the Animal Shelter Society to feature our pet of the week.
This week we met Smokey. Â Smokey is a 2-year-old terrier mix that has been in the shelter for about a month that was brought in as a stray.
Charity Stevens, Assistant Director for the Animal Shelter Society said that Smokey is a great, young dog that’s full of energy looking for his forever home.
“He loves to play with other dogs,” said Stevens. Â “He would do well with any typical family, single, kids, doesn’t matter as long as your willing to spend time with him and exercise him.”
Smokey is neutered, updated on all of his shots and is ready to be adopted for the price of $135.
Jody Murray, Executive Director, said that part of the funding that keeps the shelter running is from their annual benefit event that will be on Saturday, September 24th at 6 p.m.
There will be a dinner, 50/50 raffle, along with both live and silent auctions throughout the course of the event.
Tickets for the event are $25.
