LOGAN, Ohio – Sheridan head coach JD Walters must of gave a great halftime speech during Saturday’s sectional championship game.

His Lady Generals trailed second seeded Warren by six points at halftime and had a streak of almost ten minutes were they didn’t score a field goal. However, they came out strong in the second half and pulled away to get the victory 49-38.

Kendyl Mick scored 28 of Sheridan’s 49 points in the win and made the layup that tied the game and the free throw that eventually gave Sheridan the second half lead.

The Lady Generals move on to the districts to play Miami Trace on Thursday at Southeastern High School. Miami Trace knocked Sheridan out of the tournament last season.
