ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Mid-Ohio Foodbank is trying to help the less fortunate in our area.

Saturday at West Muskingum High School they held their monthly free produce give away. Mid-Ohio typically holds their produce give away on the first Saturday of each month. Volunteer Olivia Corder said they were able to help about 100 families.

“It’s nice for us to be able to volunteer and work and meet new people in our community. It’s a really good experience for students,” said Corder.

The next give away will be Feb. 4 at West M. Corder said that it’s a tremendous feeling to give back to the community.

“The people were really grateful for everything because they can’t afford it otherwise. So holding everything here is really helpful for them,” said Corder.
