Muskingum Dog Warden and Adoption Center met with County Commissioners
ZANESVILLE, Ohio- The Muskingum County Dog Warden and Adoption Center met with the Muskingum County Commissioner.
The adoption center requested put in control of its medical fund. Dog Warden, Bryan Catlin said this will cut out the middleman allowing medical bills to be paid quickly.
“People have been making more and more donations towards our medical fund. The medical fund is for anything that goes beyond what our main care pool is for,” said Catlin.
The commissioners also were updated on the current cost of the new building for the adoption center. Catlin said the commissioners, along with the dog wardens, are trying to provide the best and most cost-efficient building for the dogs.
“Keeping the commissioner with the new ideas that are coming in. Getting ahold of the architect and giving him the new ideas and if they have any follow up ideas. Trying to get new estimates as the new ideas come in,” said Catlin.
Catlin said he is still unsure when the new building will break ground. He is still hoping for this year. The commissioners are taking the proposals under advisement.
