Guernsey Brewhouse Celebrates New Ownership

CAMBRIDGE, OH – The Guernsey Brewhouse is raising a glass to a new chapter under new ownership. But the new owners say their biggest goal is keeping the community they’ve grown to love.

A ribbon cutting usually marks a new beginning. But for Chris and Stephanie DuBeck, their story with the Guernsey Brewhouse began years before they became its owners. As longtime customers, they watched the brewery become more than just a place to grab a drink. It became a place where friends gathered, families connected and the community came together.

“A Facebook memory popped up yesterday from the first day we every came out. I think my exact words were, ‘It did not disappoint. We’ll definitely be back.” Stephanie DuBeck,
New Owner of Guernsey Brewhouse, said.

Now, they’re not just coming back, they’re leading the brewery into its next chapter. Chris DuBeck says the goal isn’t to reinvent what people already love, but to build on the foundation that’s already here.

“It was a long journey. We’ve been out here since they’ve opened, and the community that is here is just phenomenal.” Chris DuBeck, New Owner of Guernsey Brewhouse, said.

While there may be a few new beers on tap, Chris says the most important thing customers will continue to find here is exactly what brought them through the doors in the first place… a welcoming pace to gather with friends and family.

“There’s not a lot of places, in my opinion, that you can really go to really relax and be family oriented. It’s kind of funny being a brewery and being family-oriented, but we have a lot of families that come out, bring their children, and they play board games. That to me is extremely important.” Chris said.

While that atmosphere will stay the same, the DuBecks do have a few ideas for the future, including expanding their drink offering and continuing to make the brewery a destination for the community.

‘We’ve got a couple ideas, potentially expanding the liquor license to offer more than just our craft beer. I’d like to get some wine out here eventually and just continue to put our feel on the place.” Chris said.

For the DuBecks, success won’t just be measured by what’s poured into a glass, but by seeing the community they fell in love with continue to gather here for years to come.
