Muskingum Lacrosse Makes Program History

NEW CONCORD, OH- Muskingum University Lacrosse has made history and is looking to keep the wave going. After only winning three games last season, they have already surpassed that amount and made a major turn around.

This season Head Coach Alec Chisholm and the Muskies not only have gotten off to a better start and improved from last season they have already surpassed last seasons total wins, making it the best start they have ever had in the program’s history.

Coach Chisholm believes the Muskies success stems from not only having good talent, but good team chemistry as well but they aren’t done making history.

“I think we’re talented at a lot of things you know you could look at you know the scores and stuff like that our defense is pretty strong we have a really good young face off guy have really good goalie you know but I think the strength of our team is like we’re becoming a better unit together we’re becoming more cohesive group the guys enjoy being around each other it’s more positive anything that our strength is being a good teammate it’s really just enjoying being around each other,” said Chisholm.

Also, he talked about the impact the historic season has for the current team as well as what it can set up for the Muskies’ future.

“The funny thing is we are making history but like our lifting shirts on the back it says make history it’s been a goal for us all year of just we want to work hard and we want to set a tone for the future of this program the first class I recruited are seniors now so like for them they got to be a big piece of changing history over time but I think just having four recruiting classes of mine in here now it’s to really see what this program can be and what can we be going forward because all tell you we’ll keep bringing more talented recruiting classes every year and keep pushing the competition level here”.
