ZANESVILLE – The Boy Scouts is in the process of mailing take-out forms to the scouts so they can contact family, friends, and neighbors to submit orders.

“It’s super important this year even more that any other year that the popcorn sale is successful because so many of our other fundraising efforts have had to be cancelled due to COVID-19,” Assistant Scout Executive Jeff Pickett said.

“We’re also right now in the time view where we’re doing recruitments at all of our local elementary schools. So, any scouts who are interested in signing up or any boys of girls, rather, who are interested in signing up can do so. There should be flyers going out to each of their elementary schools or they can go to BeaScout.org or they can call here at the scout office at 740-453-0571,” Pickett said.

The annual popcorn sale accounts for about twenty percent of the boy scouts’ annual budget and the organization is always appreciative of its patrons,” Pickett said.
