ZANESVILLE, Ohio-The seventeenth annual National Road Yard Sale Festival is going on in Zanesville.

The festival is held along route 40 from Baltimore to St. Louis each year and features local shops and merchants. Chamber of legends Commerce Vice President Kelly Ashby has more information.

Currently going on through Sunday is the National Road Historic Yard Sale. This has actually been taking place for seventeen years. The yard sale originated so that from St. Louis all the way to Baltimore or Baltimore all the way to St. Louis whichever way you’re travelling, that US 40 and pike towns and villages along the way could showcase and highlight thighs that make them unique.”

The event doesn’t have the bolster of earlier years due to the COVID pandemic but the sales are still happening throughout the area.

“If you are looking for places that are participating and some of them are families that are participating, some of them are businesses that are participating, the best thing honestly is to get on National Route 40 and and just go exploring. Just think of it as a fun way to explore the Historical National Road.”
