New Lex Doctor Sues Genesis

A New Lexington Doctor is suing Genesis Healthcare System. Dr Jeffrey Haggenjos who used to be employed by the Healthcare System as a physician in Perry County has filed a breach of contract lawsuit in Perry County Common Pleas Court.   In the suit Haggenjos says Genesis terminated him contrary to the terms of the employment agreement. In the suit Haggenjos also alleges that he lost patients and corresponding revenue since he was terminated and had to spend significant time and money to open up his own medical practice. The doctor was fired in September of 2015. As a result, the suit claims Genesis caused him to suffer severe emotional distress and embarrassment among his colleagues and patients and it damaged his reputation. Haggenjos is seeking damages in excess of $25,000 with an exact amount to be determined a trial. Haggenjos’s attorney, Brent Stubbins declined comment since its pending litigation. A spokeswoman from Genesis it won’t comment on anything that is currently in litigation.
