New Library Director Selected

The Muskingum County Library System has a new director. The Board of Trustees on Tuesday announced the selection of Jennifer Spillman. Board President Doug Fink says “the board was impressed with Jennifer’s vision of the future for public libraries, her proven experience in staff leadership and her commitment to community outreach.” Spillman has been serving patrons in libraries, both public and academic, for over 16 years. She joined Dayton Metropolitan Library as the Adult Services Division Manager in 2012 and was promoted to the main library manager in 2015. Spillman will begin her tenure as Muskingum County Library System Director on January 9, 2017. She replaces long time director Sandy Plymire who retired last month.
