Newton Twp. Fire Department to honor local man

NEWTON TWP., Ohio – Newton Township Fire Department will honor a local man recently killed in a motorcycle accident.
Rob Miracle was killed at the end of August while riding his motorcycle in Kentucky. His local fire department wants to do something special for his family at their annual Chicken BBQ and car show later this month.
Newton Township Fire Chief, Allen Deaver, said that all registration fees for the car show will go to the family.
“Our annual chicken BBQ is September 25th, and we always have a car show, and thought it would be appropriate to dedicate that to Rob,” said Deaver.
The department expects many locals to attend, including the Down Bikers Fund, the organization Miracle rode with. They will be selling t-shirts and having a 50/50 drawing.
The car show is from 10:30-2 p.m. and the Chicken BBQ starts at 11 a.m. on September 25th. The registration fee is $7Â for the car show.
