North Valley Bank Robbery Suspects Captured

Several arrests have been made in connection to an attempted robbery last week at the North Valley Bank on Maple Avenue.

Zanesville Police said 26-year-old Amber Morrison of Chillicothe, 24-year-old Lindsey Williams, 23-year-old Travis Mettler both of Lancaster and 28-year-old James A.R. Jones of Akron all face charges of robbery and possession of criminal tools.

Local detectives said through their investigation they were able to determine the make and model of a vehicle connected to the robbery, that led detectives to identify the suspects and link the Zanesville case to robberies of PNC Banks in Canal Winchester and Chillicothe and the Park National Bank in Newark.

Zanesville Police said on April 27 the suspects were taken into custody and a search warrant was executed at an apartment in Lancaster. Evidence of the crimes were recovered during the search.

The suspects are being held in the Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office Jail and are awaiting extradition back to Zanesville.

ZPD worked with the Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office, Chillicothe Police Department and Newark Police Department to locate the suspects.
