Ohio University Zanesville Nursing Job Fair on Tuesday

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – A local University is helping to fill nursing positions in the area.

Ohio University Zanesville is hosting a nursing career fair Tuesday afternoon. This is the first nursing job fair event at OUZ providing current nurses and upcoming graduates the chance to meet with health organizations and discuss career opportunities. Positions are open in the area from registered nurses to licensed practical nurses.

“Bringing the opportunities directly to not only our students but also community members. Allowing them the opportunity to be all in one place to network with multiple different facilities in the region,” said OUZ Assistant Professor of Nusing, Matthew Fox.

Ohio University staff and faculty will also be present to answer questions on nursing degrees the University has to offer. But OUZ Assistant Professor of Nursing, Matthew Fox said job fairs are especially important for networking purposes.

“Without networking it’s hard to put a name to a face through the online application process that is currently being implemented by most facilities. It’s very nice to be able to actually talk face to face with the hiring managers and the HR reps,” said Fox.

The entire job fair is open to the public from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. in the Campus Conference Center.
