OHSAA divisional breakdowns to be announced Thursday

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The OHSAA Board of Directors are set to meet this Thursday to present the new divisional breakdowns for all fall sports.

Pending approval by the Board, the new divisional breakdowns will be posted to the OHSAA’s website on Thursday. In May of 2014 OHSAA members voted in favor of the Competitive Balance Proposal, which will examine sport-specific roster data submitted by each school. That affects the fall sports of football, volleyball, and soccer.

In addition, it was announced that the start date for football practice has been moved up one day. Football teams can now open practice on Monday July 31 instead of Tuesday August 1.
