ZANESVILLE, Ohio– A local organization will be honoring hometown heroes.

The Cry Out America prayer event will take place at American Pride on Sunday, September 11th. This free event is to pray for service personnel and to pray for the state of America in general.

“We begin our event with honoring our first responders and everyone including the State Patrol,” organizer Amy Moore said. “There is just nothing that warms our hearts anymore. I’m so proud of this community, because they support this.”

In addition to this prayer event, Cry Out America will be offering free coffee and donuts for first responders on Friday, September 9th from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. And if you’re interested in lending a helping hand Moore said you are more than welcome to.

“Just by calling me, Amy Moore at (740) 453-4973, I can tell them how they can go about doing that,” Moore said.

Moore said this event will begin 2 o’ clock sharp and will conclude around 3:15 p.m. If you would like to attend be sure to bring a lawn chair.
