Pathways Fellowship Youth Center Spaghetti Dinner Benefit

CAMBRIDGE, Ohio – The S.A.L.T. Factory in Cambridge hosted a Spaghetti Dinner Benefit on Saturday, March 9th.
Community members came together for everything from spaghetti and salad to deserts and drinks. Administrative Director of the S.A.L.T. Factory and Founder of Pathways Fellowship Youth Center Zachary Anderson said he wants this youth center to be a support system for success.
“At Cambridge City Schools, we have at least 130 kids that the state recognizes as being homeless because of the sexual, physical, and drug abuse that goes on at their homes. So they have an address but they go from couch to couch to couch,” Anderson said.
The event is to not only bring people together but to help raise money to keep the center up and running for all of the teens in need. Modern Woodmen Chapter #9056 is also matching donation funds raised up to $2,500.
“So what I try to provide is just that second home or the only home that some of these kids may know and that’s just by loving them. That’s the only thing I know how to do. I’m not a professional at anything and I’m not real good at anything but I know how to love people and that’s what I offer to these kids here,” Anderson said. “We do that by tutoring, we have a meal every night, we have activities that help break down walls that make kids where they’re willing to open up because they know they’re cared about and things along those lines.”
