Pet of the week: Eight-year-old Lab-Shepherd mix, Melba

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- It’s Friday and you know what that means, it’s time for the pet of the week.

This week’s feature pet is eight year old lab-shepherd mix. Named Melba. Her adoption fee is fully sponsored. You would just simply pay $10.75 a dog license.

“She came into the shelter back in October,” Animal Shelter, Executive director, Jody Murray said. “She was one of several dogs and puppies that were found just out on the road. She has an old elbow break that has healed. She favors it a little bit but gets around ok. She’s very calm gentle dog, gets a long with people, gets a long with other animals well.”

Murray said Melba is a very low maintenance dog. She will do well in a home with children or adults. Murray said be sure to purchase your tickets for their upcoming fundraiser before they are all gone.

“We have a comedy show coming up down at Bryan’s Place in January. Tickets are available here at the shelter. Feel free to stop in or contact any board members,” Murray said.
