Pet of the week: 11-year-old Duke

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- This week’s featured pet is Duke.

Duke is around 11-years-old and is believed to be a Terrier and Chihuahua mix.

Jody Murray, Animal Shelter Society Executive Director, said that Duke has been at the shelter for a couple months.

“He had to be returned to us because his owner was having some health problems so he was brought back into us,” said Murray.

Duke will be up to date on his shots and micro-chipped. His adoption fee has been sponsored, so it is $65.

“So if someone has a passion for older dogs and wants to help him in his senior years he’s a very good little guy and would make a lot of company for somebody,” said Murray.

Murray encourages people to come in and spend time with the pets in their visitation room. He said they are also able to schedule a home visit.
