ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The Zanesville Farmer’s Market at the Muskingum County Fairgrounds is in its final few weeks.
Fall produce is beginning to take over at the County Fairgrounds. Misty Shook owns a pumpkin farm in Chandlersville. This is the first Saturday that she has been at the Farmer’s Market this year, but she says with the demand for fall produce she’ll try to be back next week.
“We have a lot of pumpkins going out. Lot’s of good times and socialization. A lot of people enjoying a good time,†said Shook.
Shook said fall is her favorite time of the year and getting to sell her farm’s pumpkins is one of the highlights of every autumn.
“I love the pumpkins. We also have corn shocks, indian corn, and gourds. We’re just doing a lot of work. Our pumpkins go to Grove City and we have a couple of contracts going out of town. So we wanted to bring some pumpkins to the local Farmer’s Market. We’re just really enjoying it,†said Shook.
There are two more Farmer’s Markets this year. The last one is Oct. 29 and they run from 9 a.m. till noon at the Muskingum County Fairgrounds.
