Pursuit Ends in Arrest

The Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office has arrested 27-year-old Garrett Emerson, from the West Lafayette area.

The sheriff’s office said that on Monday around 4pm a road patrol deputy attempted to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation on 2nd Street in Coshocton.

The deputy says the vehicle fled the scene and he pursued it. Several other units joined in the pursuit, which went across Coshocton County and ended 13 miles later in the Wills Creek area.

Two cruisers sustained minor damage.

Emerson was taken into custody on outstanding warrants, which include breaking and entering.

Addional charges are anticipated after a review from the Coshocton County Prosecutor’s Office.
