Putnam Tavern Cited by State

The Ohio Investigative Unit announced that a Zanesville bar was cited with a violation of health orders. The state law enforcement agency says Putnam Tavern received a citation for improper conduct – disorderly activity.
The Zanesville Muskingum County Health Department referred a complaint to agency.
The Investigative Unit says on December 4th at 10:50 pm agents visited the tavern and observed around 25 patrons inside. The agents say many patrons were standing while consuming alcohol and other beverages, crowding the bar with no social distancing measures or physical barriers in place. The state says none of the employees or patrons were wearing masks.
The case will go before the Ohio Liquor Commission for potential penalties, including fines.
