Remembrance Concert To Be Held

ZANESVILLE, Ohio-A benefit and remembrance concert is being held at the Barn this Saturday to honor Andy Quinn.
Andy’s father Paul is the chief organizer of the event.
“On Saturday at The Barn starting at noon we’re gonna have the Andy Jam, which is a fundraising event to fund a scholarship in the name of my deceased son Andy Quinn,” explained organizer Paul Quinn. “We’ll have five bands playing over ten hours. It’s gonna be a fun day of music and fundraising to send future law enforcement professionals to school.”
The scholarship is specific to Zane State College and is planned to begin this upcoming school year.
“My son Andy died last year at the age of thirty-one from a viral infection. Two things he was very passionate about: one was music and the other was law enforcement. He had wanted to be a police officer, and we had found out he had a deformity at birth in his back, that required surgery and prevented him from being an officer,” explained Quinn.
Quinn said helping others achieve their dreams is the perfect way he can honor his son’s memory.
