Ribbon cutting for Muskingum County Center for Seniors building

 ZANESVILLE, Ohio-There was a large crowd in downtown Zanesville Wednesday.
The Muskingum County Center for Seniors have a new place to officially call home. This new facility is located in the heart of downtown and although this building is 10,000 square feet smaller than the old one, it’s more functional and features a lot have great amenities. Executive director Ann Combs describes her feelings one this day as beyond exciting.
“Finally have a building that is deserving and fitting for our seniors in Muskingum County is beyond explanation, ” Combs said. “We are trilled to be here today.”
City officials, staff, and community members gathered Wednesday to bless the building and officially welcome everyone with a ribbon cutting ceremony. Following the ribbon cutting ceremony, the crowd was able to tour the facility.
“It’s just wonderful really,” Elmer Godby said. ” We certainly did need this facility and I think that everybody in here is very trilled.”
The new center for seniors building is located at 160 North 4th Street in downtown Zanesville.
