Rickey Lee Scott

Rickey passed away on July 30th 2021.
Look, mountain biking didn’t take Rickey — Sure, he had a wreck that was a catalyst to what happened. He rode like the Marine he was, fearless. He was unfortunately given a hereditary challenge of heart disease that ultimately took him. Rickey would have been gone from us a long time ago, if he didn’t ride. He was doing what he wanted to do – flying down a mountain on his bike-Godspeed!
Rickey had many passions. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps, then once he left active duty he continued to serve in the National Guard. Mountain Biking and Roller Derby were a huge part of his life. He was extremely proud of his children and grandchildren. His random dancing and singing will be something missed by everyone that loved him. He lived his life to the complete fullest every day!!! He was an amazing man who will be missed greatly by all the people whose lives he touched.
He is survived by his mother Joyce (Parrill) Scott. Sisters Jennifer Campbell & Kelly Stephenson, Brother Chad (Shannon) Scott. Children Amber (Chris), Alexis, Hunter, Cameron, Samantha, Kayden. His 10 grandchildren. Wife Amy Ackermann Scott and special friend Brooke Belcher. Many Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.
He was proceeded in death by his father Roger Scott, grandparents Robert and Ethel Parrill, Charles and Thelma Scott. Uncles Grendel and Jake Scott.
Once memorial services are planned the dates will be provided. There will be a memorial service in Zanesville and West Virginia.
