Rosecrans uses second half comeback to improve to 5-0

Rosecrans

ZANESVILLE, Ohio — Their perfect record was in danger after the first 16-minutes, but a second-half comeback lead by Kailey Zemba helped the Rosecrans Lady Bishops move to 5-0 before their holiday  break.

The Lady Bishops trailed Wellington by as many as nine in the first half, but scored the final two baskets of the half to keep the damage to a minimum, going into the locker room trailing 24-19.

Claire Creeks, who lead Rosecrans with 10 points at halftime, turned distributor in the second half, helping Kailey Zemba and Tessa Littick find their rhythm as the Lady Bishops outscored the Lady Jags 32-18 in the second half to keep their perfect record in tact.

Zemba lead all Rosecrans scorers with 16 points on the night. Creeks finished with 14, while Tessa Littick added 10.

Rosecrans is off until December 29th when they host Wheeling Central Catholic at Rogge Gymnasium.
