Sam Hubbard leaving early for NFL draft

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The day after helping Ohio State beat USC in the Cotton Bowl, Buckeye defensive lineman Sam Hubbard has announced that he’ll be forgoing his final year of eligibility and he’ll be entering the NFL draft.
Hubbard took to Twitter Saturday afternoon to make his announcement. He joins Denzel Ward as the two Buckeyes who have already declared for the NFL draft.
Hubbard saved one of his best college performances for last. In Friday’s Cotton Bowl he sacked Sam Darnold 2.5 times and finished with 3.5 tackles for loss. The Cincinnati native was named an all-American by several publications.
The talented defensive lineman is expected to be a high draft pick and one of many Buckeyes to declare early for the NFL draft.
