Save on Prescription Medications by Using FamilyWize

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- United Way’s across the country have partnered with FamilyWize, a prescription drug discount program.

Becky Clawson, United Way Communication Impact Director said that the program is available to anyone, even if you have insurance.

“In Muskingum County, we know that the average family spends $25,000 a year on medical costs for their family and that includes their premiums in any care or prescriptions that they need,” said Clawson. “FamilyWize is a great way for us to make a dent in that to help people become more financially stable.”

“There’s a list of pharmacies where you can check you to see if your pharmacy participates and accepts FamilyWize,” said Clawson. “You can get a card by stopping at one of our partner agencies, visit our website at www.unitedwayofmpm.org or directly at FamilyWizes’s website at www.familywize.org.”
