You can expect to get items into the library faster through a system that connects 100 libraries across the state.

Last month, SearchOhio paused its service as they changed delivery systems. The switch means patrons of the library system that were waiting several weeks to get their materials can now have them in a matter of days.

“Thankfully the library has switched back to a different delivery company and we are now up and running completely. Our delivery times for Search Ohio items has been right around 3-5 days now so it is fully back up and running and you should be able to get your items really quickly at this point,” said Sean Fennell marketing and community relations for MCLS.

There are around 150,000 items in the Muskingum County Library System Collection. SearchOhio opens it up to 10 million. You can access SearchOhio directly through the library’s website under a tab on their home page or you can search directly in their catalog.

“If you see a title or your looking for a title and you can’t get it. Then you can Search Ohio we can get that. It’s a way to supplement our collection,” said Fennell.

The library system has been connected to SearchOhio for about a year.
