Share the Warmth Cold Weather Drive 2018

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Sharing the warmth with others.
The fourth annual Cold Weather drive was today at the Colony Centre parking lot. People can donate new, gently used clothing, blankets, and winter clothing. The donations will benefit the Eastside Community Ministry’s Clothing Bank.
“It’s cold. You know, and winter is coming. Cold weather is coming. And the need in the community is great, to service people and help people in this way. Whether it’s warm clothes or just even shoes and undergarments. So people can find jobs and things like that. Just really supporting people in this community. It’s just needed,” said Sponsoring Partner, Wayne Wycoff.
He says even throughout the rainy weather they have seen many people come through and donate.
“It’s cold and rainy, and we were afraid that would slow traffic down. And we’re in a little bit of a lull, but at 10 o’clock this morning we had several cars come through and folks don’t have to get out of their car at all. They can just pull right up, we’ll take the needed items, the things they generously donate, they can get a cup of coffee and a donut, and away they go,” Wycoff added.
All the items will be transferred to Eastside Community Ministry’s Clothing Bank. Items will then be sorted, and on Monday, the 29th, people will be able to collect the items they need.
