Sheridan boys heading to districts

LOGAN, Ohio – For the first time since 2012 the Sheridan Generals are on their way to Athens for the district semi-finals.

The Generals took down Marietta 67-54 Saturday night to claim the sectional title. The win also have Sheridan their 20th victory of the season, first time they have done that since 1988.

Grant Heileman had 21 points for Sheridan, and junior Ethan Heller scored 20 to move past the 1,000 career point mark.

The Generals will play fourth seeded Waverly Friday at Ohio University at 6:15 p.m.
