Sheridan’s baseball season comes to an end; Lady Generals move to district title game

ATHENS, Ohio – The Sheridan softball and baseball teams were playing right next door to one another in the district semi-finals at Ohio University.
The baseball Generals took a 1-0 lead in the third and we’re tied heading into the final inning. However, the Generals unraveled in the seventh and fell to Warren Local 6-2. They finished the season with a record of 23-4.
Meanwhile the softball team took on second seeded Meigs and behind 13 strike outs from pitcher Liv Johnson went on to win 5-0. The Lady Generals move on to the district championship game. They’ll play fifth seeded Warren Wednesday at Ohio University at 6 p.m.
