Argo 2

A K-9 with the Perry County Sheriff’s Office is being treated after being exposed to methamphetamine.

The sheriff’s office said while at work on Wednesday canine Argo’s handler observed uncharacteristic signs and rushed Argo to MedVet’s Emergency Room in Columbus.

The canine has been admitted to MedVet’s critical care unite so they can observe him and continue treatment.

The Sheriff’s Office reported Thursday morning that Argo’s vital signs have improved and are currently within normal range. He is expected to make a full recovery, but is being kept in the hospital for a while longer just to monitor him.
