South Zanesville Village Park Produce Giveaway

Village Park Produce Giveaway

ZANESVILLE, OH – The New Covenant Church has resumed its monthly Produce Giveaway.

After having to stop services due to the Corona Virus Pandemic, The 2 Fish and 5 Loaves Food Ministry is ready to get back to serving the community.

“We are located in the South Zanesville Park, it is every second Friday of the month, it starts at 10 am and runs until 12 noon. It’s open to all the members of the community, the requirement is you need to have a photo ID. This is a drive through only service so you do need to be in a vehicle. Unfortunately because of the COVID we were down for 2 months, so we were not open, but we are up and running now and we will be up for the rest of the year.”

The Mid-Ohio Hunger Network supplies the food they give out each month.

“Out here it changes every month. We normally get anywhere from 6 to 8 tons of free food for this community every month. We get a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables, sometimes we are blessed to have bread and to have snacks and things of that nature. But its always shelf stable things for the folks in this community.”

No one is turned
away from the give-away and any food left over is taken to a local
food bank.
