Sparkle the playful Pitbull at Muskingum Co. Dog Warden and Adoption Center

Sparkle Dog

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – There is a new, energetic dog at the Muskingum County Dog Warden and Adoption Center.

Sparkle is a Pitbull mix. Deputy Dog Warden Alisha Myers says she would be best with a family who can keep up with her energy.

“This is Sparkle, she’s estimated to be about two-years-old — she’s very sweet, strong puller. She appears to be dog friendly and cat friendly as well and she’s very playful. She would be best for — probably about any kind of family honestly. Maybe a younger family that is probably very active.”

Myers says if you’re interested in Sparkle, or any dog at the adoption center, to make sure to check that they’re the right fit for your home.

“They can come in and do a meet-and-greet with our dogs. If they have dogs, bring their dog with them to see if their dog is going to be okay with the other dog. If they have cats, they have to ask us if the dog is cat friendly. If they have children, we need to test with kids as well.”

Sparkle’s adoption fee is $105. This includes all of her tags, vaccines and spay. She will be spayed in February.
