1 seriously injured after crash on SR 60

MUSKINGUM COUNTY, Ohio – A three vehicle crash on State Route 60 Wednesday afternoon at the intersection of state Route 60 and 719 left one person seriously injured.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol says 26-year-old Jordan Brown was taken by ambulance to Genesis Hospital.
Troopers and Duncan Falls Fire Department reported to the accident that left two vehicles severely damaged and one with minor damage.
State Highway Patrol Sergeant Jeffrey Jirles had more information on what caused the accident.
“This incident happened just before two o’clock today. We’ve got three vehicles involved here, one was a commercial log truck. It would appear that that commercial log truck rear ended the utility truck which then hit a jeep also. So we have a total of three vehicles involved here. One of the vehicle drivers was seriously injured and he’s been transported to Genesis Hospital.”
The patrol says 59-year-old Ronald Colvin, of Bellaire, was driving the log truck. He was cited with failure to maintain assured clear distance and distracted driving.
The accident shut down traffic in both directions for about two hours.
