ZANESVILLE, Ohio- The Muskingum County Canine Advocates want to thank the community.

With your generosity, the ribeye steak dinner raised more than $3,500 for the construction of the Muskingum County Dog Warden and Adoption Center.

“We did over 100 ribeye steaks dinners,” Mike Alfman, owner of Winerak said. “We have the delicious hand cut fries from Mike and Nancy Mohr, they ran the fryer. We had steaks from the Winerak and it all came together. ”

The next fundraiser for the Muskingum County Canine Advocates will take place in October.

“On October 8th, we’re going to have Dogtoberfest at The Barn and it’s going to be fun. Just stop down. They are going to have some drink specials featuring some Octoberfest type ideas. And we’ll have a silent raffle, 50/50 things like that going on at The Barn,” Alfman said.

In addition to fundraising, the Canine Advocates are pleased to announce construction will begin on the dog park down at Riverside Park. For updates and more information on events visit the mcca.com.
