Sternwheeler sails again

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The Lorena Sternwheeler is back in operation, and has a busy schedule for the rest of the season.
After repairs were made to the Lorena, she set sail for the first time Tuesday and they have all kinds of tours planned. Chamber of Commerce Vice President, Kelly Ashby said they have public tours being offered as well as lunch tours, dinner tours, and private tours.
“We also will be hosting story time today and then this weekend there are public rides scheduled for Saturday and Sunday. So, we certainly encourage everyone to enjoy the public rides from here on out throughout the season and there is dinner cruises, there is lunch cruises, there is twilight cruises,” said Ashby.
This Sunday, the Lorena Sternwheeler will have the Bashful Blonde Trio for entertainment. Ashby said they were a huge hit last year and they had to have them back this year. While the Lorena Sternwheeler is starting later in the season, Ashby said she hopes the Lorena can make multiple trips a day.
“We, what we have decided to do is, we are certainly hoping that there is large groups that come for our public rides and if that is the case we are going to do a second ride after the first public ride, so in case, we do have to turn some folks away, we will ask them to come right back for a 3:30 cruise,” Ashby added.
