Story Time Registration is Now Open
Story time registration is officially open at the Muskingum County Library System.
The story time session will run through the week of September 4th through the week of November 13th.
Blair Tom, Assistant Director at John McIntire Library said that they offer preschool story time at John McIntire Library, Dresden Branch Library, New Concord Branch Library and they offer bedtime, toddler and baby story time at John McIntire Library.
Tom said that the library associates do a wonderful job at educating the children with some fun activities.
“They use the ready to go read model that focuses on talking, singing, writing, interacting and playing,” said Tom. Â “That’s all apart of how they share the stories, the interactive activities, finger plays and frequently there are learning activities following the session.”
Tom said that they find that it’s a great way for families with similar aged children to interact with one another.
“Many times it’s the first interaction with peers that young people have so it’s a really enriching opportunity that we try to make entertaining and engaging for the entire family.”
