Stout to Play Art Walk

ZANESVILLE, Ohio-This months ArtCOZ Art Walk will feature music from local artist and musician Stoey Stout. 

Stout is the first ever musician of the month and is a world traveler and tradesman with extensive knowledge and experience in other cultures. His mother helped him find his musical footing in this world. 

“My mom was really the inspiration. She was a songwriter and musician, she had me singing with her at the piano when i was five years old. That’s where a lot of that inspiration came from, and then the other inspiration for my music is my travels. I love to travel. I’ve been to a lot of places in the world, not every place.”, Stout said via Zoom.

Stout will play Native American flute music at this Friday’s Art Walk as a tribute to his heritage. He was thrilled that the ArtCOZ is being more inclusive towards musicians. 

“I am the first musician of the month for ArtCOZ. Maybe the main reason is that I may be the only musician that’s also a member of ArtCOZ. I think I’m worthy of being included as the ArtCOZ musician of the month. I always like to say that music is a team sport, you don’t do it by yourself, you do it with others typically.”, Stout continued.

The ArtCOZ Art Walk will take place virtually this Friday, April 2nd from five to nine pm.
