ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The 8th Annual Y-Bridge Arts Festival came to a close this evening and organizers are calling it a huge success.

Over 150 artists displayed and sold their artwork at the Zane’s Landing Park during the two day long event. We talked to Christine Shaw who is representing Ohio University- Zanesville as a part of the Y-Bridge Arts Festival welcome tent.

“I think it’s really important that the artist themselves is involved. We have the actually artist like Bob Grayson is one of the artist in the community and he is very active and is the Director this year. He has brought together the education because, he has an education background as well. Of course the art organizations in town like the Zanesville Concert Association for example who are really trying to promote the arts in the younger generation as well,” said Christine Shaw, Representative, Ohio University- Zanesville.

Shaw said this is also a good time to come out and visit with the different organizations and gain information of their concert seasons and what events each have to offer.

“The South Eastern Ohio Orchestra, they have a space theme this year. The Zanesville Concert Association has the Mark Twain theme. You’ll learn a little about what the whole year season is,” said Shaw.

The festival wrapped up Saturday night at 11 p.m.
